Labeo cylindricus can be found in entire Lake Malawi however they can also be found spread over entire East-Africa. In Lake Malawi they live especially in rocky zones to a depth of about 30 meters. The total length they can reach is approximately around the 35 cm. You can best keep these animals in a big aquarium together with fish that are not too aggressive. Against other inhabitants they are in general tolerant. Mainly they feed on algae that they scrape off the rocks and anything that is between those algae. |
